The cold weather is upon us for most of the United States. When it’s cold outside trailer walls tend to frost over and make adhesion difficult.

To help you with installation we created our Top 5 Tips for cold weather application for Logistick products.

Store Logistick products in a climate controlled environment, preferably above 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Frozen products have little to no tack and adhesion is difficult.

Be cautious of storing product near dock doors that might be exposed to below freezing temperatures.

Follow Logistick product instruction manuals and videos closely, proper installation is extremely important.

At the time of installation, clean walls free of frost and condensation with isopropyl alcohol (preferably 91%). If needed, use a scraper, then dry with a rag to remove any debris.

You need a clean, dry surface to adhere Logistick products.

Proper fit and pressure is needed. Be sure to use the correct beam type and length with Logistick products. Also, assure proper foam insert usage with Loadbar products.

The adhesive is pressure sensitive, so outward pressure is needed to maximize adhesive bond.

Lastly, if cold weather adhesion issues are still a concern.

Use 3M Adhesion Promoter 111 as a primer while prepping the wall surface for application.
