Logistick, Inc., an Innovator in Freight Securement Systems Releases First Ever Sustainability Report

SOUTH BEND, IN – July, 23rd 2020 – Last year, Logistick, Inc. launched the sustainability promise and initiative, SECURE GREEN. Logistick has been preventing freight damage and reducing waste for customers since 1992. However, they have been furthering efforts to minimize their footprint by becoming more holistically focused on sustainability. “While we have been focused on securing the future of our customers by improving efficiencies through innovation, with the launch of our new sustainability initiative SECURE GREEN we will help secure a sustainable future for all,” said President of Logistick, Nick Kanczuzewski. “To make sure that promise resonates across the organization, with our partners, and with our customers, we have created a SECURE GREEN team to champion and enhance sustainability efforts.” The team is focused on efforts like going paperless, material reuse, enhanced recycling, environmental awareness and education, sustainable materials, operational efficiency, and reducing their carbon footprint.

Since day one, Logistick’s directive and operations have led efforts to create a more efficient, eco-friendly, and sustainable freight securement solution for the industry. Using post industrial recycled plastic resin and efficient manufacturing processes are just a few of the ways Logistick has focused on sustainability and environmental responsibility since the early 90’s.

Logistick is excited to announce the official release of their first-ever, 2019 Sustainability Report, developed by the SECURE GREEN team. “It is now time to enhance stewardship and sustainability efforts across the organization and our network, and report those efforts on an annual basis. We will focus on innovative solutions to sustainably grow the company, and make a strong and lasting positive impact on the planet. We want future generations to enjoy the planet as much as we enjoy it today, so we as an organization and community have to be committed to environmental responsibility,” said Tyler Kanczuzewski, Sustainability Manager for Logistick. “Tyler helped lead the team to develop the report, and has provided a great passion and perspective on how to infuse more sustainability into the company. Over the last year, Logistick has made great strides in enhancing the foundation of sustainability the company was built on,” said Nick.

Tyler finished his MBA at Grand Valley State University in 2019, with an emphasis on Sustainability. He is excited to help Logistick grow its efforts.

In the report, you will discover how Logistick has made strides towards energy efficiency at their headquarters, is reducing waste in manufacturing and packaging material, strategically planning to create a closed loop system, donating to environmental initiatives, growing its sustainable business network and is focused on a holistic approach for company culture and engagement.

The company has ambitiously aimed high in their 5-10 year mission – to establish carbon neutral operations by 2030, become one of the nation’s leading sustainable freight securement companies, increase their social and environmental impacts, become a thought leader in sustainable packaging alternatives, while at the same time, generating improved sustainability cost savings and reductions without compromising quality or safety.
